Joe Frank was a longtime radio broadcaster who started in the 1970s on NYC's WBAI, later worked with NPR, and finished at KCRW in Los Angeles before he passed away in 2018. He created a unique style of radio storytelling, mixing monologue and dialogue into shows that were surreal, funny, intense, and captivating. His work left a lasting impression, with many fans remembering their first show. Notable fans include David Sedaris, Ira Glass (who got his start working with Joe), and Harry Shearer.
